Taste & See with Anntoinettemarie adventures in Appleton, Wisconsin
This weeks adventure leads me to Appleton, Wisconsin. A place filled with diversity and swanky downtown shops. My very first stop FIKA Tea Bar on college ave. I was greeted by 3 lovely ladies that helped me choose the perfect tea. Well I had to try more than one. I had the strawberry basil and mango tapioca boba tea. They both were splendid. The atmosphere was pleasantly modern with a touch of elegance. The customers left with smiles as they dranked their tantalizing flavor green or black tea. Thank you FIKA. I will be returning soon.
My next stop was The Cozzy Corner a southern style restaurant that was recommended by residence of Appleton. When I entered the restaurant all I could see was soul, and flavor with vintage LP’s on the ceilings, and musical lyrics by Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and Earth Wind and Fire to name a few. I was greeted by the owner Philip Bennett as he guided me to the best table in the house, the first booth. We chatted about his journey as an entrepreneur and serial business owner. I almost forgot why I was there until a waiter came out with a bowl of candied yams, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, gumbo, hush puppies and yes The Cozzy Corners famous fried chicken. Oh my word everything was so fantastic. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city take an excursion to Appleton, Wisconsin. It’s a great weekend adventure. Taste & See with Anntoinettemarie. Happy Travels.🥖
